after having a baby and finishing school my hubby and i finally feel like life is starting! we struggle with just about everything but we are happily figuring things out as we go. the purpose of this blog is threefold, first to update our family and friends about what we're up to, second to show off and share my discoveries and accomplishments as a homemaker and most importantly to brag about that Lincoln boy! in turn there are two requirements for you to partake of this blog, leave comments so i know my effort has a purpose and of course, ENJOY!

Soldier Hollow

Yesterday Matt's work held a snow party up at Soldier Hollow. They've got hills set up for sledding and a chalet that would take you to the top. Am I using that word right, chalet?
Lincoln loved going up the hill. At the very top when you get off there's a steep little part that your tube gets disconnected from the lift and then you unload, and that little hill was probably his favorite part.
He also liked just sitting in the tubes and being pulled around, and I didn't mind doing that because he was so light in them! (and yes, even I went down the hills 3 times! And it was AWESOME, nevermind that I'm 6 months pregnant)
After going down the big hills a couple times he started saying, "i don't like it!" when we reached the bottom. I can't blame him, it was really fast and a really long ride. I think he wouldn't have minded it but when the snow came up from the tubes into our faces that made it a little scary for him. But you know us, we still made him do it a couple more times. This is just a little hill we found and he enjoyed that much better!
Aren't these tiny tubes so cute?
Opinionology also provided donuts and hot chocolate. Lincoln loaded up on the donuts, this is probably his 2nd or 3rd of 4 1/2. Ridiculous.
Family!
Linc and daddy riding up! They are in the orange and blue tubes. You can see Linc's little red hat just barely poking out!
By the end Linc just wanted to play with the tubes, which we let him do for quite awhile. He's been talking about the tubes non-stop since yesterday too! It was so nice to get out of the house and we were pretty stoked to do an activity for free that would normally cost us $60!!
