For the last 10 years or so I have been collecting shot glasses. Kind of ironic for and LDS guy to collect shot glasses, but that's what I do. Well today while looking for the Christmas decorations I bumped the box from above the closet and down it came. Hit the bookshelf then the floor. All in all I lost 19 shot glasses a little less than half my current collection. All of the ones I have collected have either been from places I have been or places my friends and family have been. I lost a few that I probably won't be able to replace like the one from the Parque das Aves in Brazil from my mission, or the 2 from the Cruise I went on in Belize and Mexico. I have since re-wrapped them and labeled them as fragile hopefully the rest of them last longer. (In case anyone hasn't guessed yet, this is Matt posting this entry. Lindsey doesn't collect shot glasses)
Here are those that remained after they fell, there were actually 5 that broke that I think I will be able to glue back together, but some (like the one from my mission) completely shattered and were just thrown away.

ReplyDeleteYou should have put the broken ones in a jar and sealed it up as a shelf ornament! That way you could have kept them!
