Recently i learned about a program called Bountiful Baskets from a friend back in rexburg. So here is my copycat post because i am so excited about it! (sorry!) Bountiful baskets is a food co-op, which means a bunch of families pool their money together, purchase produce from local farmers and get a great deal while supporting local economy! The trick is you don't know exactly what produce you're going to get, they try to make it 50% veggies and 50% fruit. Monday night i signed up for my basket and this morning i grabbed my laundry basket and headed down to the location. Waited in line for a little bit and loaded up my items! It was actually kind of fun!
Here's the goods.
10 red potatoes
5 medium tomatoes
2 broccoli crowns
celery
10 apples
11 peaches
bag of grapes
1 apricot
1 large cantaloupe
head of romaine lettuce
2 coconuts
large bag of green beans
The best part of it all? only $15!!
(*i did have to pay a $3 one time fee because it was my first basket)

Lincoln was so excited to see my bring in so much food! He kept shouting APPLES!! TOMATOES!! CARROTS!! (there were no carrots, he's just a silly) And it was so cute to hear him try to say words like cantaloupe and coconut!
Hey I'm so glad you got to do this! No worries about the copy cat post. I was hoping to get more people to do this because it's just so much better than prices at the stores! Glad I could help.
