I am very behind in my blogging so I better start from the beginning and catch up. First I wanted to review our time in Atlanta. It was about this time last year that my sister first seriously suggested we come to Atlanta so Matt could do an internship and I could watch her kids. At that point she didn't know I was pregnant, so I didn't really consider her idea but when she found out and was still willing to have 3 people move into her house we really started looking into it. It wasn't until about 2-3 weeks before we moved that Matt officially landed the internship. He was supposed to be 'hooked up' with a job, but in the end he pretty much landed it by himself. He would be working in the Turner Broadcasting, Cartoon Network, Latin Division programming department.

Matt loved his internship. He ended up working with a lot of people who spoke Portuguese. He got to watch A LOT of cartoons (a job requirement), went to MANY company lunches and most important of all he gained a lot of experience, began networking within the company, and possibly opened the door for other BYUI students/grads. When his internship ended they offered him a full-time position as a temp and told him if there was a position open when he graduated it was his.

In Atlanta I became a nanny for my nephews. I was pretty nervous to watch 3 kids, especially since one was my own and only 2 months old. But just like Wendy said, eventually I learned little tricks. I don't think it ever became easy but I have a lot of fond memories now. And there was even one occasion where all 3 kids took a nap at the same time. We had lots of fun but I don't think
I'll ever be able to be a nanny for any of my other
nieces and nephews, when it's over I miss them too much.

One of the biggest highlights of our adventure was our discovery of
RockBand. After we tried it we were hooked and had our own set pretty quickly off of
craigslist. We have some slight suspicions that our copy might be hot but we probably just think its most exciting that way. Matt is a
rockmaster now, that is for sure. Sorry we had to take the game away..

The best part of it all was spending time with my sister. Maybe there wasn't a lot of 'stuff' we got to do, (it's hard going out with 3 small kids!) but my favorite was just sitting on my sister's bed talking while she sat at her computer blogging, or working on the heritage makers scrapbook, or looking for impossibly hard homemade felt snowman stockings (their awesome!). I didn't realize I was going to have such a hard time leaving, but thanks for everything.

Lincoln doesn't know what to do with himself now that he's an only child again. He
definitely loved having 2 big 'brothers' even though he got poked in the eye and body slammed on more than one occasion. We all liked Atlanta a lot more than we thought we would, despite the crazy roads and even crazier ward. Although it may no have been the best decision financially and was certainly stressful in numerous ways, our family had a great experience and are thankful for the time we had!
This makes me cry. I miss your guts. We were driving around Lexington last week in the van and SM says "where is Matt?" In Colorado. "Where is Linny?" They have to go finish school in Idaho. "Why don't they come back?" Its killing me. I told Tad I don't care where he gets a job, it has to be by one of my sisters. We need to oovoo it up.
