Happy Birthday Lincoln!

This picture is a good summary of how the day went. Poor kid was sick on his birthday. And no, not kid resilient sick where it doesn't bother them, throughout the day he just got more and more miserable. Lincoln is not usually a snuggler, but here is snuggling away with me.
We tried to make it a good day for him anyway. We took him to the spray park to cool him down. I know, bad parent award, don't take sick kids out, especially to a water park. It's ok, he didn't want to play in it much anyway.
He was so worn out he ended up taking three naps. Don't worry we didn't really let him sleep exposed to the sun like this, we covered him up good, he just happened to roll over and we took a pic. I thought it was so funny he just fell asleep on a towel at the park.
We got home and look how rosy his cheeks are! Poor baby! We had dinner and Linc didn't eat anything, so we just opened presents. That was probably the highlight of the day, he really enjoyed it. (and i made that hat by the way, isn't it awesome! as long as he didn't know he was wearing it he kept it on)
I didn't make him a cake like i had planned. Even though i had all the ingredients we just stuck with the Albertson's free one, i figured it wouldn't be very nice to have so much cake if he didn't feel good enough to eat it.
This is the only bite he actually took. He really didn't want it and only took a few other bites if Matt fed it to him. It was pretty anticlimactic for all of us. In the end we decided it was a good thing because he kind of broke out in a slight rash from the frosting. We are thinking it was just the dye so i guess it was good he didn't have it all over. I think both Matt and I agree he deserves a do-over.
Ok the reason he is not eating is really probably because he is sick.
Thanks so much to everyone who sent well wishes and presents!
