after having a baby and finishing school my hubby and i finally feel like life is starting! we struggle with just about everything but we are happily figuring things out as we go. the purpose of this blog is threefold, first to update our family and friends about what we're up to, second to show off and share my discoveries and accomplishments as a homemaker and most importantly to brag about that Lincoln boy! in turn there are two requirements for you to partake of this blog, leave comments so i know my effort has a purpose and of course, ENJOY!

He's Here!

I decided since Lindsey just had a baby I would update the blog today. We left the house this morning at 6:45 to have our baby. We arrived at the hospital at about 7:15 and Lindsey was in her room hooked up at about 7:45.

At about 8:30 our doctor came in and broke Lindsey's water. At about 9 she started to have contractions. At about 10 she got her epideral and was really happy after that. By noon Lindsey was already 9 centimeters dialated. Lindsey started pushing at 1, but Lincoln was posterior (sunny side up) so the nurses had Lindsey rotate lying on each of her sides to get the baby to roll over. Lindsey pushed on and off for At about 3 the doctor came in and said the baby wasn't posterior anymore and Lindsey began to really push. At 3:12 Lincoln Matthew Day was born.
