I had some half off coupons to NW Trek so we decided to check it out since I hadn't been in who knows how many years. NW Trek is like a little zoo, but it only has animals native to the Northwest like bears, wolves, foxes, cougars, and other smaller mammals like raccoons, beavers, badger, the like.
They have a Tram ride, Matt thought it was going to be like Bear World back in Idaho, but it's really more like viewing animals in their natural habitat. No feeding bears HoHo's out your window here.
Daddy and baby! It was cold and a little rainy when we went, not a big deal since we are native Northwesters now, but in the Tram they had recently taken the windows off, and it was FREEZING!!
Normally the baby goats are kept hidden by mama and nanny goat, but these little guys were out frolicking around. They were so cute and only 2 days and 1 week old!
Ace was good for the most part, but the end of the tour was lacking animals and he was DONE! But he was still cute as always.
Whoa Buffalo! (Bison i mean)
The Bears seemed to have a pretty sweet set up, but I will admit I felt bad for all of the wild cats in cages, their pens were so small, I bet they were so bored to be in captivity.
Ace really liked the bears. I think they were one of the only animals he could actually see.
We aren't much for buying souvenirs at gift shops but 75% off makes for some pretty cheap snakes. After the tram ride it warmed up a little and it ended up being such a fun day, you can complain all you want about the rain, but nothing smells better than a fresh rainfall in Washington!!

That looks like so much fun!!! You look AWESOME my friend...and your kiddos are so cute!
