What a great Easter! Friday night the Denison's came over and spent the night so we could go to the Spanish Fork Egg hunt in the morning.
We failed to explain to Lincoln the whole process properly before hand. Here he's thinking this might be a little weird...
But he picked it up quickly! We cheated a little and let him go in the same age group as GJ. SM was in a whole other feild so no pics of his hunt. (holy smokes can I get any bigger???)
It only took about 3 minutes for all the eggs to get snatched up, but there were plenty! Out of the recommended 4 eggs per child Linc walked away with a good 15 at least (as did everyone else, we're not that selfish)
GJ was pleased with the whole experience

Although it would have been nice to finally get outside and play, it rained all day after the hunt. So the kids settled with indoor wrestling.

An activity Matt thoroughly enjoys as well.
Wendy also cooked me a delicious Easter Feast with all the holiday works, ham, potatoes, corn, rolls, strawberry salad and mmmmm jelllo cakkke. It was much appreciated, especially considering I boycotted cooking about 2 weeks ago. And enough leftovers to go around. Oh man how I love holiday leftovers.

Next morning Linc found that a certain cotton-tailed visitor stopped by and graciously left some toys and treats. Please note that the helicopter launcher that Lincoln is holding was determined to be a regretful purchase after about 30 seconds.

That silly easter bunny also left some eggs around the house.

With a little help Linc gathered them up and proceeded to eat more chocolate and candy then he ever has in his life (also note that it wasn't really that much because I tried to eat as much of it as I could before he could get to it)

Lincoln finally had a good holiday! It's usually ruined by sickness or his naughty/cranky attitude, but not this Easter!

And as Easter should always include new Sunday clothes, I managed to get over my no motivation for sewing just in time to bust out this vest for Lincoln. It turned out a little big, but I love it because it cost me nothing to make and no trip to the store because I used materials I already had (thank you for donating your shorts Mr. Day) and because the buttons holes are fake because I was too chicken to try to do it on my own machine.
We had a great day at church and came home to take Easter naps and watched the Testaments, enjoyed leftovers all day and wrapped it up with a little Easter FHE. Relaxing and wonderful, for sure!
That sounds like a way fun holiday! I love his vest, you did a great job with it! LOVE your curtains in one of your pics, I may just have to copy those! Not long ago we had no kids and now here we are well on our way to having two! Man time flies when you are having fun.
