after having a baby and finishing school my hubby and i finally feel like life is starting! we struggle with just about everything but we are happily figuring things out as we go. the purpose of this blog is threefold, first to update our family and friends about what we're up to, second to show off and share my discoveries and accomplishments as a homemaker and most importantly to brag about that Lincoln boy! in turn there are two requirements for you to partake of this blog, leave comments so i know my effort has a purpose and of course, ENJOY!

Happy Birthday Aunt MiMi

We were so happy to have Aunt MiMi come to our house the day after her birthday, so we made her a special cake.
It was my first attempt at a fondant cake and it turned out beautifully! I was worried the fondant might not taste that great, but it was delicious!! I made everything from scratch, i sure hope she liked it!

I had a little help in the kitchen. But the truth is chocolate monster's aren't that helpful.

    I am so impressed by that cake! It is beautiful. I really like the chocolate monster too! I have one too and he is also a big "helper"! Can't wait to see you guys!
