Catch up

Since it's been nearly a month since anything has gone up i better post something before this whole blog thing just goes out the window. This month has actually been pretty busy and exciting so lets start at the beginning. The semester ended on the tenth. Boy were we glad! It doesn't really matter how you feel about your classes, when you get another semester under your belt it's great to just be done. I bet it's a small portion of what it feels like to graduate. And now just to give you a little warning i'm going to brag a little bit. Matt and I did really well in our classes. I got 4 A's and 2 A-'s and Matt got 3 A's and 2 A-'s! My GPA for the semester was 3.925! Now thats a shocker! I am so proud of Matt, he was pulling 16 credits, including upper division courses, plus working nearly full-time, he worked so hard and his grades even pulled him upto a quarter tuition scholarship! I am truly blessed to have him! He does so much to support our little family and i'm glad he got the scholarship, he really deserved it. Now it's my turn to get one.

As soon as we were done with school we were off to Bonney Lake. After only about 2 hours into the trip we got a flat tire, and of course it was while i was driving. We pulled over and we were pretty lucky we found ourselves by an exit because the nearest ones were 50 miles either way, we could really have been in trouble! Matt ran into town and this nice guy helped him put the spare on. We drove into town and, nope they didn't have the tire we needed. Next town over 50 miles, didn't have the tire we needed, next town over yes they had it but they would be closed when we got there! It looked like we would have had to drive all the way back to rexburg and start over the next day. Luckily this nice man asked the tire place in butte to stay open for us and they did! Next task: drive 110 miles only going 50 on a spare. It was a little nerve wracking but when we reached butte and got it all straightened out we were in high spirits! Unfortunately we couldn't make the trip in one day anymore so we stopped at Matt's friends and spent the night.

The next day we arrived and Shelly was there to surprise me! Not long afterwards Karli and her kids showed up too! It was really great to see them, i just love my family so much!

Julie and my sisters and my mom threw me a baby shower that weekend. It turned out really well with lots of great food. Although whenever someone references my baby shower, it's really going to be referring to the barf-a-thon that was happening with Karli's kids all weekend. And of course i had to get my kisses from bubbie, so i got the stomach flu as soon as i got home. (oh well at least it wasn't during my visit or on the trip back to rexburg) But thanks for my baby shower. (I'm still waiting for some double fudge cookies..) And thanks to Julie my kid is pretty dang hooked up.

While we were home we had a pretty fun time! It gets harder and harder to leave every time. The trip back was pretty bad too. Even though it snowed in Washington (in april? What the heck!) The passes were totally fine, but when we got to Montana we hit a blizzard and had to stop. Yet somehow there wasn't any snow in rexburg when we made it all the way, doesn't make much sense to me. And now if only we could get over being sick we could get back into the swing of things, but it's proving pretty difficult. Only a week break between semesters is pretty hard. Currently I am only taking 9 credits, but they are block classes (half semester) so it's definatly compare able to a full time semester. Most of my classes are for my cluster in child development so I am taking Marriage skills, Pregnancy and Childbirth, Infants and Toddlers, Parenting Skills, Advanced English and Teachings of the Living Prophets. It should be an interesting semester considering what is going to happen in two months! Well thats us for April. Best wishes to all!
