{about us}

after having a baby and finishing school my hubby and i finally feel like life is starting! we struggle with just about everything but we are happily figuring things out as we go. the purpose of this blog is threefold, first to update our family and friends about what we're up to, second to show off and share my discoveries and accomplishments as a homemaker and most importantly to brag about that Lincoln boy! in turn there are two requirements for you to partake of this blog, leave comments so i know my effort has a purpose and of course, ENJOY!

Still a little skeptical..

So the other night Matt gets a pretty random phone call saying that he entered a contest and won second place - a free trip. Immediately he asks.. ok whats the catch? What do i have to buy or commit to? Nothing at all, the lady assures him. Just make an appointment and go pick up your prize. Ok.. yeah right. But we think, whats the harm in checking it out, we have to go to Idaho Falls this weekend for some errands anyways we'll just stop by and see what the heck they are talking about. So we arrive and they hand us name tags and direct us into the presentation room.. oh great. But it was Saturday, we didn't have anything we had to do for awhile and they had refreshments including popcorn, my pregnancy weakness. So we sat through a nice little presentation about "vacation ownership." It was actually somewhat interesting but of course ridiculous. Afterwards we had to meet with one of the sales reps and after only a minute of telling him our situation he laughed and said he wasn't even going to try and sell us anything. It was a waste of an hour, but as a complimentary gift we received airfare and lodging for two in Anaheim 3 days 2 nights sometime within the next 12 months. I still think it's ridiculous but overall pretty funny.

  1. If thats not a cure for your Disneyland fever I don't know what is!!!!
    I know a few people who have gotten trips this way. As long as you have the will power to say no to the sales pitch you're good to go!

    That is sweet!
